Retail outlet for imported terracotta and other fine pottery, fountains and garden fixtures. Imported from Italy, Greece and France, the company had exclusive import agreements with some of the top producers in Europe. Website for the retail store featured 80% of their product offerings, while a private wholesale website allowed their representatives and agents access prices.

Design and execute the MYBART program. Initially for rider research, an email promotion program that sent offers and discounts to sports, entertainment and cultural events around the Bay Area for BART riders based on their travel routes and preferences.

Design a business model for wireless smart-card ticketing for mass transit. Cubic was the leading provider of ticketing systems for major mass-transit systems throughout; London, NYC, BART, Atlanta, Chicago, Sydney, Hong Kong and many other metro areas. The business model allowed the company to do modeling for five cities over ten years, so they could predict growth and accurately budget for multi-year contracting. The model was successfully used to win the contract for San Diego’s transit system. Additional design and technology strategy was provided for the physical card-sales kiosks and online portal for managing the rider’s card.

Negotiate Microsoft contribution of remote controlled cameras and streaming systems for the Polar Bear Plunge and Gorilla exhibits at the Zoo.

Koko, the world-famous gorilla noted for her sign-language skills and painting prowess, lives at mountain sanctuary run by the Gorilla Foundation. We built a new website to help promote the foundation and its sales of tee-shirts, posters and stuffed toys. We helped manage and coordinate a global advertising campaign for Hewlett-Package printers. We coordinated and managed the first live-video chat on AOL with Koko and her interpreter, Penny.
